Originally from Pasadena,California. Slim, has gained a wealth of experiences through residing in numerous areas through out the United States. While completing his high school degree, Slim's outstanding abilities gained the attention of several scouts from surrounding college basketball teams. Rated one of the best high school prospects in California, Slim went on to play for the Siskiyous junior college basketball team for 1 year. He then turned his interests towards shaking up the hip-hop music industry.

His early efforts included competing on the 94.9 WILD radio freestyle competition in San Francisco and recording his first track titled "Nothing but a thing" in Oroville, California. After moving to his current residence in Hobbema, Alberta,Canada Slim entered the 2001 Summerjam Freestyle contest winning the top spot along with a four-song demo package. While in the process of recording his demo, his material and talent made a huge impression on the producers of Warparty. He was then offered the opportunity to become a featured artist under the wing of Warparty and become the opening act on their tours across Canada.

During this short one year span Slim has had the opportunity to perform alongside such hip-hop acts as Dj Quik, Mac Mall, Choclair, Baby Blue Soundcrew, The Shape Shifters, Former 106&Park freestyle champ Bishop, K-OS and Harpoon Missile. While also performing at the Telus Ski and Snowboard festival in 2002.
