Every year a record
company vows to become #1.
So every 6
months an artist vows to create
the hottest album under the
sun. But he can’t sleep because
every 2 months rap music and
styles change
So every 2 weeks a new artist
polishes up his flow in the rap
game
Every day a hot new rhyme is
written by young souls so hungry
for
cheese that styles are bitten.
They can check their watches every
hour, every minute and ponder the
dopest schemes But they’ll always
be 2nd to Mr. Rue and G-Mo, The
Dream
What Do You Want To Know About
BOOMTOWN?
Just listen any of their
self-explanatory bangers and they
will not
hesitate to break it down a lil
su’m for dat ass.
Representing the 805
Area by appreciation standards,
“But down home love and pride is a
must”,
says G-Mo who brings it direct and
no doubt from the Illadelph’s
notorious 52 strip, with every
syncopated lyric, verse, laidback
cool, but
energetic slang style shit, all
the way to that West Philly dip in
his
walk no question flamboyance and
wit is always a part of the
package.
But Boomtown has a even more
energetic side to their humble,
but
outgoing mystique provided by the
fiery rambunctious, and
melodramatics of
Mr. Rue, rooted from the Dirty
Pride of Savannah, GA. and now
resting in
Cali. These two are regarded as
the 805’s most energetic and
diverse
crews.
With enough street savvy, pro
stage, and mic skills to hold
their own
on the solo tip. Together
Boomtown takes you t the left on a
slant like
no other who steps in the zone OCK!
(G-Mo would say).
Being outstanding businessmen is
the key and a major plus for the
duo.
Mr. Rue being a business major at
Cal State L.A. and dance
instructor
and G-Mo handling his own business
from a street level since 85. Now
with a couple of upcoming artist
under the belt, the threat of not
being
signed to the majors is not
actually a threat. Having released
an
earlier attempt on Sube Records
entitled, Makin Ep’s, a 7song slew
of
untouchables. Thus paving the way
for trips, concerts, and events
that would
later be used by a business class
professor at UCLA as an example of
how
to create a promo package. Five of
the seven songs were in rotation
on
the Digital DMX Channel, 2 movie
soundtracks, a grip of major
concerts,
encore performances, and special
invites.
Now with their latest ensemble,
The Boomtown crew wants to take
you to
Planet Cool! Where everything that
you could imagine isn’t really
what it seems. An erratic roller
coaster ride on a planet that only
the chosen have
access. The un chosen can feel and
the universe can hear joints like
Love
me/Hate me to That’s My Style. The
two guide you through a low, but
sonic
mid bounce Philly Bang style that
creates the crazy slang driven
atmosphere. You have to have
heart, gumption, and the biggest
balls to challenge the game and
that’s just what Boomtown plans to
do.
So we ask you, “Who wants to make
this money, who wants to change
the
game, who wants to rock that
show.”
